We know that with positive avenues for artistic pursuits, recreation,
peer involvement and supportive adults, children are more likely to do
well in school. The YMCA’s ESCAPE to the Arts Summer Program enables
children to explore creativity, learn artistic technique, discover the
value of teamwork, and build self-esteem.
We provide a fun
summer learning experience through the arts with
6 different week-long programs. Each week children explore a different
theme while creating works in a variety of media. We hold a mini art
show at the end of each week to showcase children’s work.
