We know that when you workout with a friend, you’re more likely to stick with your goals, and you’ll have more fun doing it. Join with a family member, friend, neighbor or co-worker and you BOTH enjoy a 20% savings on membership dues for as long as you both remain members.

Any member who pays standard rate membership dues through monthly drafts can invite a friend to join the Regional YMCA. New members can print and fill out the 20/20 referral form and bring to the YMCA when enrolling for membership or have the information available when enrolling with a membership representative at a YMCA location.

Once eligibility of both new members is verified, both will automatically be enrolled in 20/20 membership program.

You and your friend will keep the monthly saving as long as you both are members. Should one of you leave the Y, the other will have 60 days to find a new referral and continue to receive the savings.

Option 1

  • Find a YMCA member friend and ask for a referral.
  • Complete the 20/20 member referral card and bring to your the YMCA when enrolling for membership or have the information available when enrolling with a membership representative at a YMCA location.
  • Once eligibility of both member and new member is verified, both will automatically be enrolled in the 20/20 membership program.

  • Invite another non-member to join the YMCA with you.
  • Visit a local YMCA together; meet with a membership representative who will complete all applicable paperwork with you and your friend.

What’s the 20/20 Membership Program?

As an incentive for becoming a partner in health and referring a member to the Y, both you and the new members you bring to the Y receive a 20% savings on your membership. You both continue to receive the 20% savings as long as you both remain members.

Why are we starting the 20/20 Membership Program?

We appreciate that when you choose to live a healthier lifestyle, you’re more likely to be successful when you work together toward your health goals with the help of friends, family and teammates. Our 20/20 Membership Program encourages you to be an advocate for healthier living, both personally and in the community. Our hope is that the 20/20 Membership Program offers you an encouraging support system and enhanced motivation to meet your goals and strengthen our community.

How do I get started?

To join the 20/20 Membership Program, you simply need to complete the 20/20 referral form when you join the Y. Download the referral form now.

Does my friend/family have to be with me to join?

We make joining easy. Friends and family do not need to be with you. They simply need to complete the 20/20 referral form. Download the referral form now.

Who is eligible to participate in this program?

This program is available to all active members in good standing, including Young Adult, Adult, Senior, Two Adult Family, One Adult Family, Family Plus One, Family Plus Two, and Senior Couple members.

Can I refer more than one friend or family member?

Yes! Although you will not receive additional savings, as long as one of your referrals remains active, you will continue to enjoy the 20% savings.

How long is this reduced rate valid?

The reduced rate received from participating in the 20/20 member benefit program is good for as long as both parties remain members.

What happens if one of us leaves the Y?

Should one of you cancel your membership, the remaining member has 60 days to refer another friend or family member to join or your membership rate returns to the standard rate for your membership category.

Will the 20/20 Membership Program rate ever increase?

If future membership rates increase, the membership rate will reflect a 20% savings on whatever the current standard membership rate is.

I am joining the Y as a new member in the 20/20 Membership Program; do I have to pay a joining fee?

Yes, new members joining through the 20/20 Membership Program are subject to the standard joining fee.

I referred my friend and my friend joined, when do we receive our reduced rate?

The 20/20 Membership Program rate will go into effect when the referred membership is purchased. The 20/20 Membership Program rate for your membership will be reflected within 30 days of the time a completed 20/20 Membership Program member referral form is received in Membership Billing.

Can I add a new family member to my membership and receive the 20% savings?

Adding a new family member to your membership is considered a membership upgrade and does not qualify for 20/20 Membership Program rates.

Can a member leave and come back as another member’s friend and family member?

A member can refer you as long as you have not been a member within 6 months.

I am currently receiving financial assistance or a reduced rate for my membership. Can I refer a friend for this program?

Yes. We encourage all of our members to take this opportunity and help us to make our community a healthier place to live. Should your friend or family member decide to join they will receive the 20/20 Membership Program rate for the membership category they select. Your membership will remain at your rate or be reduced to the 20/20 Membership Program rate for your current membership type, whichever savings is greater. As always, if finances are a barrier, anyone can apply for financial assistance for membership.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership if I am part of the 20/20Membership Program?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your membership as long as both members retain an eligible membership type.
