Youth Fitness & Sports at the Greenknoll YMCA BranchOur goal is to provide an enriching program and environment that will positively impact each participant. Opportunities will be available for kids to be educated, improve health and fitness, and be enriched while having FUN! Kid’s will learn new things, make new friends and above all have a great time! The program, held in a non-competitive environment, improves athletic skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork, and the development of positive self-esteem. Below is a list of sports and fitness classes being offered at both our branches.

Roc n’ Tots 18mo-4yrs
An introduction to movement and music for growing
minds and bodies.

Play Ball for Toddlers 3-4yrs
Physical movement and ball exploration class for you to
share with your toddler.

Totnastics 2-4yrs
Parent and tot interactive gymnastics class.

Creative Thinkers 3-4yrs & parents
Stimulate your child’s imagination through art,
story-time, games and more.

All Star Sports 3-5yrs
Your child will learn the basics of a variety of team
sports.

Kindernastics 3-5yrs
Preschoolers learn the basics of gymnastics.

Pee-Wee Basketball 3-5yrs
Your child will have fun learning the basics of dribbling,
and passing.

Pee Wee Soccer
Basic skills of the game will be introduced in a fun way.

Basic Gymnastics 8-12yrs
Students learn basic gymnastics skills as well as develop
core strength.

Ballet 4-7 yrs
Drop off Program improves coordination, motor skills,
and self-confidence while introducing the basics.

Zumbatomic 6-12yrs
Zumba for kids! Salsa, Meringue and international dance
for kids.

Tae Kwon Do / Self Defense 7yrs-Adult
Basic/Intermediate. Learn the values of honor, honesty
and humility while experiencing the many benefits of
disciplined martial training. (Advanced class will meet
immediately following the basic/intermediate class)

Fit Kids 8yrs -12yrs
Instructor led Program offers fun through sports games
and fitness opportunities. Available to members at both
Boughton Street and Greenknoll Branches. Program
takes place at Greenknoll Branch.

Junior Strength Training 10yrs-13yrs
Children will learn how to properly use cardiovascular
machines along with strength training on Nautilus
equipment and free weights. Focus will be on form and
proper techniques to strengthen and avoid injury.

Teens in Training 13yrs+
Nutrition and physical activity Program for teens who want
to improve their fitness. Girls and boys meet with personal
trainer. Nutrition Classes with Registered Dietitian.

Teen Volleyball 13-16yrs
Join now for great games you love in the summer and
now play all winter.

Jazz, Ballet and Tap in a fun way.

Zumbatomic 6-12yrs
Zumba for kids! Salsa, Meringue and international dance
for kids.

1,2,3 GO! Crawling-3 years
Adults and toddlers will sing, bounce, balance, tumble
and play parachute games.

Kindernastics 3-5yrs
Preschoolers learn the basics of gymnastics.

Pee Wee Soccer
Basic skills of the game will be introduced in a fun way.

Youth Basketball 5-8yrs
Fundamentals such as dribbling, passing & shooting.

Youth Soccer 7-9 yrs
Improve & learn more skills at this fun and popular sport.

Pre-Teen Basketball 9-12yrs
Designed to help improve basketball skills, focus on
teamwork, rules and team strategy while running drills
and playing practice games.

Youth Tae Kwon Do 6-12yrs
Taught by an ATA certified instructor, students learn
controlled self-defense techniques, kicks, punches and
more while advancing through belt ranks. Emphasis is on
confidence, self-awareness and cooperation.
