In compliance with Town of Brookfield’s New Mask Rules:
As of August 16, 2021, the Regional YMCA of Western CT will be following the Town of Brookfield’s new mask policy in response to the increase of COVID-19 Delta variant.
“Effective Monday, August 16th, the use of face masks that cover the nose and mouth is mandatory in all indoor areas, both public and private, regardless of vaccine status, where safe social distancing cannot be maintained. This includes all indoor spaces that are open to the public.”
As a result masks must be worn in all public indoor areas of the YMCA including:
- Lobby
- Locker Rooms
- Strength Training Room
- Functional Fitness Room
Other adjustments to our facility:
- Cardio equipment will be spaced 12ft apart allowing users to safely take off their masks while exercising.
- Group Exercise class participants maintaining 12ft of distancing in a class may also remove their masks.
- Masks are not required for use in the pool, but must be worn on the pool deck.
