Family Enrichment

Family Programs are a special time for families to have fun and create memories that last a lifetime. Families can enjoy participation in swimming, basketball, games, crafts, and much more. Check out some previous events the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut has held at the Greenknoll facility.

*An adult must accompany all children during all family programs (including swimming) unless stated.

Going On A Turkey Hunt (Fall)

(Ages 3-10)

Thanksgiving is almost here, but where are all the turkeys gone? Can you help find them? Let’s spend an evening being TURKEY DETECTIVES as we track down those turkey footprints. We will make our own Thanksgiving craft, read a story, play some games, and have a Thanksgiving snack. GOBBLE, GOBBLE!!!

Kids Night Out (TBD)

(Ages 3-12)

You can enjoy night out while your children have a fun night participating in swimming, games, crafts and movie. A snack is provided.

Middle School Madness  (TBD)

(Grades 5-8)

The YMCA is staying open late so middle schoolers can take over! Our facility will be open exclusively to students in grades 5-8. Activities include swimming, open gym, basketball, and just a good old time.

Shamrock Shake (TBD)

(Ages 2-10)

It’s a Bit O’Irish fun for children and their families. Join in making fun treats and leprechaun crafts. Each child must attend with an adult.

Spring Egg-Estravaganza (TBD)


Celebrate spring! Games, crafts, snack, story, and an egg hunt are all part of this fun-packed event. Bring a basket for the egg hunt.

Valentine Goodies (TBD)

(Ages 4-6)

Calling all little cupids. Fly on over and make some special valentine treats for your family and friends. This class is sure to put love in your heart. Bring an apron!
